Westwood Nature Center Roofmeadow® Type I: Flower Carpet Irrigation: None Size: 1,250 square feet Client: Geauga Park District Location: Chagrin, OH Roofscapes Contractor: Lichtenfels Nursery Architect: Anthony Paskevich & Associates Status: Completed spring 2002 Distinguishing Features: This project is constructed on a 4:12 pitch roof. It is an un-irrigated 5-inch Type I: Flower Carpet Roofmeadow® assembly that has been modified for this sloped roof application. It is similar in concept and execution to the Wellness Center project that was completed a year earlier. Unlike the Wellness Center, in addition to traditional Sedum roof varieties, this installation includes a selection of American native plants, including Phlox pilosa, Talinum calycinum, Antennaria neglecta, Tradescantia bracteata, Verbena canadense, and Potentilla arguta.
