Public Policy

Building on Charlie’s experience drafting water resource management Best Management Practices (BMPs), Roofmeadow continues to play active roles in developing and advising on green roof policy.

Based on research originally funded by Wal-Mart and then expanded as part of our role in developing a policy analysis for the Federal General Services Administration (GSA), Roofmeadow has been defining the outline of the policy debate influencing the green roof industry. In meetings with the City of Chicago in June 2010 (and on-going informal discussions); at the 2010 Cities Alive Conference in Vancouver; at the 2010 Denver Green Roofs for the West Symposium; at the University of Pennsylvania Growing Greener Cities Symposium, and in its role in advising the GSA, Roofmeadow has been highlighting the importance of smart public policy in achieving the public benefits of greener cities.

We will be updating this page with specific policy information soon. So, stand by.
